View west from the "Hogback" on Scenic Hwy 12 looking into the Calf Creek drainage.

View southwest in the first bench of The Gulch along The Burr Trail in Long Canyon.  Fall color in the backlit cottonwood trees was intense.

Great shadow on the ground from a backlit cottonwood tree in The Gulch drainage.  This is a wide first bench area near the point that the Burr Trail drops into Long Canyon from the slickrock above.

One of the most impressive trees I have ever seen.  This massive cottonwood is well formed and in full fall color in backlit sun along the Burr Trail. A wedding was taking place under this tree the day we took this image.
